After the Publish.

When I first started the project, It was originally gonna be about living in an apartment and you buy some doll of the internet (Whole point of JBay) and you do some voodoo things to it and it just walks around. I spent a week developing the game (building the apartment coding the fps controller) and then just abandoned the project because I just didn't find it interesting. I think I left it alone for like a month or two and during that period I was learning Unreal Engine 5 and making another unity project with my friend (some thief game).

I spent another week developing a game on unreal engine and I figured that the ideas for that game was super ambitious and I wouldn't have the time to implement them. (school and stuff) So I just left that project alone for a bit, I was just not motivated to do game development because every project I make it gets into a playable state then I just leave it alone.

I then went on itch to find some games to play and I found multiple games such as Dying of Thirst, MapFriend, Doghouse 2 and many more and I just realised that these short period games is actually 'makeable' So I went on YouTube for some inspiration and I found a video called "Why is the Out of Bounds is Terrifying?"

I was so hooked into the video and the idea hit me and I was like ya brooo i should make a game out of this so I loaded up unity and I remember making that apartment project so I loaded it up and gathered all of the assets and remade the FPS controller and put together the map (Inspired heavily by No Players Online) I then made the 'monster' and set up the out of bounds walls and made the whole game in 2 days. I was very happy with the finished product (Decent for 2 days development) and I packaged the game along with making the cover art and upload it to itch.io.

As of writing this, The game has 490 page views and 123 downloads. I have came across multiple videos about the game on YouTube and I think there's one video on TikTok. I was astonished by the popularity this game has reached! I never thought it could reach that many downloads in under 5 days

Once again I am very thankful of everyone who played "Out Of Bounds" and the people who made videos on it. I'll always make sure to see any feedbacks about the game! This is my first game and I was fortunate enough to see it get this successful! I will post a hotfix to this game since I saw like 4 bugs in the videos and hopefully publish more games soon!

Thank you all for reading.
